The new motorbikes that fascinated both children and adults were in fact initially promoted only on the occasion of special exhibitions. However, after the surge of their popularity, they started to be used, more and more often, for competition and sports events. The first race-tracks that were set-up were in fact specifically designed to allow visitors to rent a mini motorbike and experience the thrill of taking part in a race with a real motorbike.
