The company really is owned by two brothers named Rimmer. Bill and Graham started their business from humble beginnings in the early 1980s, and it has grown to be one of the leading organisations of its kind in the world, supplying parts worldwide to an ever increasing list of customers. Both Bill and Graham still work full-time in the business, helped now by over 50 members of staff. British Motor Heritage is an organisation committed to the preservation of the cars which have special places in our motoring history. One of the ways in which it pursues this objective is by helping to ensure that replacement parts are available and are of sufficient quality. Stringent standards are necessary to meet the highest accolade for any company involved with the supply of parts for classic cars is to have Heritage approval. Rimmer Bros were invited to Heritage membership in 1987 and are approved for Triumph & Rover SD1. We aim to give the best possible parts service to classic car owners and thus play our part in maintaining the cars that are held in such affection. Tens of thousands of motorists still take pleasure in restoring and maintaining their classic car, and to help in this process, the one absolute essential is to have access to a reliable source of replacement parts. As the years go by, parts become more and more difficult to find. Happily, however, this is where we at Rimmer Bros come in to our own. Supplying parts for classic Triumph, Rover SD1 and Land Rover is the job for which our company has been created. Wherever possible we supply original stock from Rover & Land Rover sources - lots of parts are still manufactured. Where this fails, we sometimes have parts re-manufactured. We have Heritage approval to do this, because we have satisfied them as to our quality control standards and we use original tooling and factory drawings where these are available. Our degree of specialisation means two things. Firstly, our staff know the cars were dealing with inside out and can give you any advice you might need regarding part selection. Secondly, we are able to stock in depth just about any part you might need. Triumph House is our latest HQ, acquired in 1991. With nearly 50,000 square feet of warehousing alone, it is a cavernous building, and it needs to be! It currently contains more than 350,000 recorded part numbers with over 25,000 stock lines and we hold as many of each as necessary to make it almost impossible to run out of stock.
