In 1978, GMA president and motorcycle-enthusiast opened a Harley-Davidson retail and customizing store. He manufactured steel brackets and imported calipers from Grimeca, an Italian manufacturer. Frustrated with problems of conducting business overseas, he purchased his first machining center in 1985. Soon he replaced it with the CNC equipment and the personnel who would begin producing the first brake calipers and GMA was born. To this day, GMA continues to grow by the addition of new highly skilled employees and top-of-the-line equipment.
