Jay grew up in Bellevue, Washington & joined the United States Coast Guard after graduation from high school. He also attended some college classes. Raised around unusual British, Italian & German cars, his mechanical talents expanded into the exotic car industry. Motorcycles were also a large part of growing up, trail riding with his brother & father on Spanish Bultacos (he still has all three). Tara grew up in Kent/Covington, Washington. After graduating from high school, she attended Green River Community College for Technical Drafting. She then went to work for the Tacoma Boat Company, several other engineering firms, and finally, the Boeing Company for 13 years. She is also an enthusiastic gardener, cook and aunt to seven nieces and nephews. Tara was also involved in the Sidecar/Trike Education Program Advisory Council Board. Helping to expand the S/TEP (Sidecar/Trike Education Program) Classes throughout the USA and Canada. Both Jay and Tara have been certified S/TEP Safety Instructors and are now involved as board advisors for the off road equivalent of Sidecar Training (an on going process).
