M.M.I. Inc. has been servicing marine engines and transmissions in Japan since 1977. M.M.I. Inc, as it is known, was incorporated in 1995. Until 1989, the focus of our business was to repair both marine engines and transmissions in Japan. At that time we began purchasing parts and complete transmissions from the United States directly due to the growing strength of the economy. Purchasing parts directly from the U.S. made it easier to continue to offer quality repair service in a timely manner but also at a reasonable price. This is very convenient because many of the transmissions are exported directly from the U.S. to Japan and Australia. At this time we focus our repair and sales to the following transmissions: Velvet Drive, ZF, Hurth, PCM and Twindisc.
